Whose privacy notice this is
This notice covers casinera.net, the independent portal you're reading now – it does not describe how Casinera itself handles the data of its own registered players. If you go on to open an account with the operator, that relationship and its own privacy terms belong to Casinera, not to us. Here we set out what our own site collects from a visitor browsing our Casinera coverage, comparisons and guides.
Who controls your data here
The data controller for information collected through this site is the team behind casinera.net. We're an editorial and marketing portal – we don't operate any casino, and we hold no player accounts, deposits or gaming activity data whatsoever. Any question about that belongs with the operator, not with us.
What this site actually collects
Two kinds of information pass through casinera.net:
- Technical data gathered automatically – IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and referral source.
- Cookie-based analytics data, used to understand which pages and sections get read.
- Anything you submit voluntarily through a contact form – name, email address and the content of your message.
We don't ask for identity documents, payment details or anything resembling the verification data a casino operator would request; that kind of check only ever happens on the operator's own platform.
Purposes of processing
We use this data to run the site reliably, to understand which content is useful, to reply to enquiries sent to [email protected], and to meet basic legal and security obligations. Nothing collected here is used to profile anyone for gambling purposes.
Lawful basis
Processing relies on legitimate interest for core site operation and security, consent for analytics and marketing cookies, and consent again when you choose to contact us directly.
Who else might see it
Limited data is shared with the analytics and hosting providers that keep the site running, and occasionally with advertising partners for measurement purposes. None of this information is sold, and none of it is passed to Casinera or any other operator we write about.
Your rights under UK GDPR
As a UK visitor you can ask us to:
- confirm what data we hold about you and give you access to it;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- erase your data where there's no good reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any point, with no effect on processing carried out before that.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
How long data is kept
Technical and analytics data is retained only as long as it's useful for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymised. Contact-form messages are kept long enough to resolve the query and closed out afterwards.
Protecting minors
This site, and the gambling content it covers, is restricted to visitors aged 18+. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If a device is shared with a minor, parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio can help keep gambling-related content out of reach.
Changes to this notice
We may update this policy as the site or its tools change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. This version was last updated on 6 August 2026.
Questions about this notice, or a request relating to your data, can be sent to [email protected].
This content is provided for information and marketing purposes. We are not a gambling operator, bookmaker or organiser of betting or gaming activity. This site is restricted to visitors aged 18 and over (18+). Free, confidential support with gambling is available at BeGambleAware.
